PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing material for an original paper feeding tray which has a function regulating swinging of the original paper feeding tray and can decrease the number of the shock-absorbing material and can improve packing operability while maintaining a high shock-absorbing performance, and a packing body for an original conveying apparatus using it. PSOLUTION: The shock-absorbing material 10 is formed by bending a bottom face part 11, a side face part 12 and the upper face part 13 into an approximately U shape in side view. The surface and back surfaces of the original paper feeding tray 101 are pinched by the bottom face part 11 and the upper face part 13, and by inserting the shock-absorbing material 10 into a cover 102 side from the tip side of the original paper feeding tray 101, the neighborhood of a swinging support of the original paper feeding tray 101 is pinched by a first bending part 11a and a second bending part 13a, and the tip part of the original paper feeding tray 101 is pinched by a support part 25 and the upper face part 13.
