PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a synthetic oil of converting an FT (Fischer-Tropsh) synthetic oil to a high value added component in a high conversion rate, and a hydrocarbon oil for an improving agent of the smoke point of kerosene and a hydrocarbon oil for the base oil of diesel fuel.;SOLUTION: This method for treating the synthetic oil comprises a first fractionating process of obtaining a middle fraction having 90 mass% content of a fraction of 150 to 360C boiling point and a wax fraction heavier than the middle fraction from a material to be treated containing the FT synthetic oil, a hydrogenation-purifying process of the middle fraction to make 9 mass% increased amount of content (mass%) of the fraction having 150C boiling point, a second fractionating process following the above process, of obtaining a first fraction having 90 mass% of content of a fraction having 150 to 250C boiling point and a second fraction heavier than the first fraction, a hydrogenation-purifying process of the wax fraction in the first fractionating process, and a third fractionating process following the above process, of obtaining a third fraction having 90 mass% content of a fraction of 150 to 360C boiling point and a mixing process of the second fraction and the third fraction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
