A process characterized by comprising the step of subjecting synthetic oil obtained bythe Fischer-Tropsch process to fractional distillation to obtain a middle distillatecomprising at least 90% by mass of components having boiling points of 150 to 360°Cand a heavy wax component, the step of hydrorefining the middle distillate insuch a way that the increase after hydrorefining in the content (% by mass) of componentshaving boiling points of 150°C or below is 9% by mass or below, the step ofsubjecting the hydrorefined middle distillate to fractional distillationto obtain the first cut comprising at least 90% by mass of components having boilingpoints of 150 to 250°C and the second heavy cut, the step of hydrocrackingthe heavy wax component, the step of subjecting the hydrocracked wax componentto fractional distillation to obtain the third cut comprising at least 90% bymass of components having boiling points of 150 to 360°C, and the step ofmixing the second heavy cut with the third cut.
