The method of preparing polyaniline of the present invention is characterized in that already prepared basic form of polyaniline phase is reprotonated by suspending thereof in an aqueous solution of an organic or inorganic acid having pH value less than 3 to obtain a reprotonated salt. After isolation, the reprotonated salt is subjected to deprotonation by suspending thereof in an aqueous solution of an organic or inorganic base having pH value higher than 9 to obtain a re-deprotonated base wherein the reprotonation and deprotonation phases are repeated in alternating manner. Hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, methanesulfonic acid, nitric acid, tetrafluoroboric acid can be used for instance as acid and ammonium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide can be used as an inorganic base and hydroxylamine as an organic base.
