OXYBUPROCAINE-CONTAINING ANALGEISIC/ANTIPRURITIC PREPARATION FOR EXTERNAL APPLICATION

Disclosed is an analgesic/antipruritic preparation for external application, which contains a local anesthetic agent, has few adverse side effects, and has an excellent therapeutic effect on pain or itch in the skin. The analgesic/antipruritic preparation for external application is characterized by comprising oxybuprocaine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient, wherein oxybuprocaine or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 60 wt%, more preferably 1 to 40 wt%, most preferably 5 to 30 wt%. The analgesic/antipruritic preparation for external application may take the form of an ointment, a liquid, a suspension, an emulsion, a lotion, an adhesive skin patch, a tape, an aerosol, or a powder for external application.
