An audio visual method has been invented for teaching elementary educational skills such as reading, writing, counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in Indian languages, English and other languages of the world. The invention can be used for imparting elementary education to children as well as illiterate adults. An audio-visual electronic blackboard of some kind or computer screen is used to play short lessons designed as per the invented techniques are played repeatedly to create familiarity and understanding. The technique is particularly suitable in rural areas of developing countries where trained, motivated teachers and proper schooling infrastructure are not available.
