PAPER LAMINATE STRUCTURE WITH ADDITIONAL LAYER OF METAL FOIL AND POUCHES/SACHETS MADE THEREFROM

An improved laminate structure (100) includes an outer layer (110), an inner layer (120) and a core layer (130) disposed between the inner and outer layers (110) and (120). The outer layer (110) is a fibrous material, specifically paper. The inner and core layers (120 and 130) are metal foils, specifically Aluminium. Two layers (inner and core (120 and 130)) of the metal foil maximize barrier properties for keeping the product, stored in pouches made from such laminate, protected nearly 100%. In one embodiment, the laminate structure (100) includes at least two sealing lacquer layers, i.e. a primary sealing lacquer layer (160a), and a secondary sealing lacquer layer (160b) for providing bonding and sealing strength to the laminate structure. In another embodiment, the sealing layers (160a) and (160b) are replaced by a polyethylene layer (210).
