USE OF HYDRAULIC TURBINES IN SHIPS AND NAVAL ARTEFACTS.

The use of turbines in ships and naval artefacts in general has been restricted by the operation conditions and the marine environment, but the potential that can be reached is remarkable above all in saving fuels. Indeed, the adaptation of the turbines to the changing marine environment is a challenge, the scope of each hydraulic turbine would depend on the vessel where it is installed, and the calculation of the generated kilowatts would depend on the service provided by the ships or naval artefacts, since the calculation of a hydraulic turbine for a bulk carrier and a tanker is not equal to the calculation of a hydraulic turbine for a container ship which is quicker and consequently more powerful.
