Aquaculture basket and attachment system incorporating a hook with 90 degree adjustment increments

An aquaculture basket (10) attachment system is disclosed. The attachment system allows aquaculture baskets to be connected to a support line in a number of pre-determined orientations. The attachment system includes a connection area integrally formed with or connectable to the basket. A connection member (50) includes an upper hook and lower engaging fingers arranged for attachment to the connection area. The connection area includes a plurality of connection parts arranged so that the connection member can be attached in one or more alternative positions and orientations. The support line and longitudinal axis of the connection area are at substantially 90° to one another. The aquaculture basket includes a top basket part (20), a bottom basket part (30) and at least one door (40). The top and bottom basket parts are interchangeable so as to reduce manufacture costs and to make assembly of the basket easier.
