A technique for atypical extraction of the impacted third upper molar comprises the dissection of mucosa and the separation of mucous-periosteal flap. Following the triangular cut in retromolar region and behind the maxillary tuber and in part (1-) along pterygoid-maxillary fold, the mucous-periosteal flap is separated towards the cheek. The bone covering the crown of the impacted tooth is removed. The segmental crownectomy of the impacted third upper molar performed followed by tooth extraction.
