METHOD FOR REMOVING OROANTRAL FISTULA AFTER EXTRACTION OF UPPER MOLARS

A method for removing oroantral fistula after extraction of upper molars provides for tailoring and separating mucous-periosteal trapezoid flap on the vestibular surface of alveolar process of maxilla at the site of oroantral fistula. The flap is separated from the bone, the periosteum is cut, the flap is mobilized and displaced towards oroantral fistula. The periosteum of the flap is separated from the superficial soft tissues. The edges of the palatine mucosa are separated keeping the flap junction along the lower free edge. The periosteal flap is passed below the palatine mucosa and fixed with U-shaped sutures. The edges of ten trapezoid flap and palatine mucosa are apposed and sutured with non-resorbable filaments.
