METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF CONDITION OF HIGH VOLTAGE EQUIPMENT ON BASIS OF GAS CONTENT IN TRANSFORMER OIL

Disclosed is a method for assessment of the condition of high voltage equipment by chromatographic analysis of gases dissolved in transformer oil, which can be used at electric power plants for rapid assessment of defect-free condition of the equipment, as well as for detection of defects at the beginning of their occurrence. Operational condition is assessed according to relative content of ethylene in the sum of methane, ethane and ethylene at confidence probability P=0.99, if for tight equipment relative content of ethylene in the sum of methane, ethane and ethylene makes approximately 10±6 %, and for nontight equipment relative content of ethylene in the sum of methane, ethane and ethylene makes approximately 79±10 %.
