PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF MONOLITHIC GLASS SAMPLES BY SOL-GEL PROCESSING

摘要

A process for the preparation of monolithic glass samples by sol-gel processing comprises the preparation of initial solution from tetraethoxysilane, distilled water, ethyl alcohol and catalyst, producing of gel, further slow multistage thermal drying of gel and firing to the preparation of monolithic glass samples. All stages of the process are carried out in a quartz crucible. After preparation of initial solution it is evaporated under the temperature of 50- to the reduction of initial volume twice, and drying is carried out in the crucible, tightly covered with a polyethylene film.
