DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUS DOSING FEEDING SLAG-FORMING MIXTURE INTO MOLD OF SLAB CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE

The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the design of devices for feeding slag-forming mixtures into a mold of slab continuous casting machine (CCM). A device comprises a frame mounted along a broad wall of a mold, on which there is mounted a car with possibility of relative longitudinal movement by a drive, and a hopper bearing a consumable slag-forming mixture fixed on a trolley and equipped at the bottom with a screw feeder with a inclined feeding tip. Additionally on the frame a second, similar trolley is installed, and the screw feeder is rigidly fixed on a base plate, which by means of a drive has possibility of reciprocating motion in the horizontal plane relative to the hopper along guides of a turret, which axis may change its position relative to the trolleys due to fixed rotation relative to the turret at an angle of 30 -150° to the direction of their longitudinal movement on the frame. The invention provides the possibility of increase of the uniformity degree of distribution of slag-forming mixture on the free surface during casting slabs of large cross-section.
