Cardiac stent valve placement system comprising: a cardiac stent valve (2212, 2214) comprising a stent component (2214) and a valve component (2212), the stent valve being able to adopt a folded configuration for its placement and being able to expand to an expanded configuration for its implementation; a first assembly comprising an outer cover (2206) and an inner shaft (2204) forming a guide wire tube, the inner shaft operating as a light for a guide wire; and a second set comprising a stent holder (2222) configured for its removable attachment to at least one connecting element (808) of said stent valve when the stent valve is located on the guide wire tube of the first set in said folded configuration; wherein the first set and the second set are configured for relative movement relative to each other to move from a closed position to an open position, so that in the closed position the outer shell surrounds the stent valve still attached to the stent holder and therefore limits the expansion of the stent valve, and so that in the open position the outer shell does not limit the expansion of the stent valve; characterized in that the positioning system is configured (i) for its transapical introduction into a heart to access an implantation site for the stent valve; and (ii) so that once the outer shell has been removed and no longer limits the joint elements the stent valve automatically separates from the stent holder due to the self-expanding property of the stent valve and expands to said configuration fully expanded.
