The invention relates to a combination therapy for the treatment of tumors andtumor metastases comprising administration of receptor tyrosine kinaseantagonists/inhibitors, especially ErbB receptor antagonists, more preferablyEGF receptor (Her 1) antagonists and anti-angiogenic agents, preferablyintegrin antagonists, optionally together with agents or therapy forms thathave additive or synergistic efficacy when administered together with saidcombination of antagonists/inhibitors, such as chemotherapeutic agents and orradiation therapy. The therapy can result in a synergistic potential increaseof the inhibition effect of each individual therapeutic on tumor cellproliferation, yielding more effective treatment than found by administeringan individual component alone.
