The invention relates to a molding tool for the production ofcomponents composed of fiber composite materials, in which themolding tool has a fiber composite structure and an electricalresistance heating element, whereby carbon fibers or carbonfilaments are embedded into the fiber composite structure of themolding tool in a plastic matrix, close to the shaping surface ofthe molding tool. Such a molding tool is further developed inthat the carbon fibers or carbon filaments in the plastic matrix,close to the shaping surface, essentially determine themechanical strength of the molding tool, and that the electricalresistance heating element is interconnected in such a mannerthat at least individual sections of the electrical resistanceheating element form an electrical parallel circuit with oneanother.
