A fall protection system for use by a person in climbing a pole includesan outer strap, an outer strap connector adapted to adjust the length of theouterstrap in operative connection with the outer strap, a sliding member slidablypositioned on the outer strap, a cross strap attached at one end thereof tothe slidingmember, the cross strap being in operative connection with the outer strapconnectorat another end thereof, a first adjustment strap operatively attached to theouter strapconnector via a first adjustment buckle at a first end thereof and attached toa firstend connector at a second end thereof.
