The present invention discloses a method and a device for processing a No Request protocol frame of an Ethernet ring network. The method includes the following steps: an Ethernet ring network node sends the No Request protocol frame (S301), and the value of the Do Not Flush flag of the No Request protocol frame indicates that addresses are not flushed (S302). With the application of the present invention, the flow for processing protocol frames by the Ethernet ring network node is unified, and the processing complexity of the Ethernet ring network node is reduced.
