COVERT MESSAGE REDACTION AND RECOVERY IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE

The application relates to a wireless communication device configured to receive a message, such as e.g. an email or a SMS text message. If such a message comprises sensitive information and the device is used in public, the user of the device may be tempted to deleted such a message to prevent others from viewing the sensitive information. However, current devices permanently remove the message from memory, thereby preventing the user from viewing the message at the device at a future time. This problem is solved by the present application in that, upon request, a portion of the message can be hidden from display but remains in the memory for subsequent recovery.
