The present invention discloses a base station and its method for notifying the triggering mode of aperiodic Channel State Information (CSI) reporting, in order to solve the problem that the triggering method of aperiodic CSI feedback is not flexible enough in the prior art. The method includes: the triggering modes of aperiodic CSI reporting and corresponding triggering methods are predefined; the base station chooses one triggering mode from the predefined triggering modes, and chooses corresponding triggering method; the base station notifies a User Equipment (UE) of the chosen triggering mode by means of the chosen triggering method; wherein the chosen triggering method includes at least one of a triggering command, Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) Downlink Control Information (DCI) format including the triggering command, PDCCH search space including the triggering command, a higher layer parameter and higher layer signaling. The present invention solves the problem that the triggering method of aperiodic CSI reporting is not flexible enough in the prior art, thereby saving triggering signaling overhead and transmission overhead, and avoiding the waste of system resources.
