The present invention relates to a muscle strength training and measuring system. Provided is a muscle strength training and measuring system in an apparatus for developing muscle strength by means of programmed loads, wherein the system comprises: a first body which performs a linear movement along a first predetermined pathway when a person engaged in training applies a first force; a second body which performs a rotational movement along a second predetermined pathway when the person engaged in training applies a second force; a first motor which is selectively coupled to the first body and the second body and applies a pre-programmed load; and a servo control circuit which governs the programmed load in the first motor. Because of the first motor, not only is it possible to induce a programmed load whereby the first body moves over the first pathway which involves a linear movement trajectory, but it is also possible to induce a programmed load whereby the second body too moves over the second pathway which involves a rotational movement trajectory, and thus it is possible to use a single loading means to achieve not just linear training but also rotational training by means of a single muscle strength training system.
