The present invention relates to a spandex fiber which comprises hydrotalcite, mono-hindered hydroxyphenyl-based compounds, symmetrical di-hindered hydroxyphenyl-based compounds, and semicarbazide-based compounds or hindered amine-based compounds, thus achieving improved chlorine resistance and discoloration resistance. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing the spandex fiber. The spandex fiber of the present invention has superior chlorine resistance, and therefore may be effectively used in sports clothing and leisure wear such as swimsuits.
