PURPOSE: An automatic packaging system for a cake and an automatic packaging method using the same are provided to extend the expiration date of a packed cake because a PE coated packaging paper is not used.;CONSTITUTION: An automatic packaging system for a cake comprises a rotary table, a rotating unit, a packaging paper supply unit(200), a moving unit, a grip unit(400), first and second insertion units, a vertical moving member(510), an adhesive storage unit(700), a vertical drive unit(500), and a third insertion unit. The rotating unit rotates the rotary table. The moving unit moves a cake to the top surface of a packing stand. The grip unit grips a packaging paper supplied from the packaging paper supply unit and places the gripped packaging paper on the top of the cake. The first inserting unit downward folds the packaging paper located at both sides of the cake. The adhesive storage unit is located at the bottom of the packing stand.
