JOINING STRUCTURE BETWEEN A CONCRETE FILLED RECTANGULAR STEEL PIPE AND A BEAM USING VARIOUS CONNECTION MEMBERS

PURPOSE: A joining structure between a concrete filled rectangular steel pipe and a beam is provided to improve cost-efficiency and structural safety by using a small amount of materials.;CONSTITUTION: A joining structure between a concrete filled square steel pipe and a beam is composed as follows. Steel beams(1) are welded on the side surfaces of a rectangular steel pipe(5) using connection members(3) composed of circular pipes(3a). Slits(11) are formed in both ends of the circular pipes and have a width in which the upper and lower flanges of the steel beams can be inserted. Through holes(15) are formed on both surfaces of the rectangular steel pipe. The connection members are inserted into the through holes.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
