PURPOSE: An absorbent and a protective film for an optical element including the same are provided to maintain light emitting characteristic for a long period of time by minimizing the damage of the optical element.;CONSTITUTION: An absorbent includes a compound which is obtained using a non-active solvent and is represented by chemical formula 1. In the chemical formula 1, the R1 is selected from C10 or more alkyl group, cyclic alkyl group, and aryl group. The R1 is capable of being identical or different. The M is selected from trivalent metals. The X is the integer of 1 to 1000. The non-active solvent is one or more selected from saturated hydrocarbon compounds, liquid aromatic family petroleum hydrocarbon resins, polyisobutylene, liquid polybuten, and waxes(liquid paraffin).
