PURPOSE: A touch sensor and a touch recognizing method are provided to maximize the usage of a mobile terminal by providing an intuitive user interface when various additional functions are used.;CONSTITUTION: A top electrode(310) and a bottom electrode(320) are comprised of stick or planar conductors. The top electrode is installed in an inner side of a case(101,102) and is diced by a separator. A piezoelectric element(330) is installed between the top electrode and the bottom electrode. The control unit determines a touch input based on the comparison result by comparing a first voltage with a second voltage. A support unit(340) prevents vibration from the bottom electrode through the piezoelectric element. The separator mechanically and electrically isolates sensing areas by dicing the top electrode and the piezoelectric element.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
