PURPOSE: A tool detection device of a machine tool is provided to prevent damages of a sensor and block foreign materials into the sensor because the sensor is retreated and hidden in a duct.;CONSTITUTION: A tool detection device of a machine tool comprises a frame(110), a transference body(140), a linearly moving unit(120), a duct(150), and a cover(152). The frame is installed in one side of the machine tool. The transference body is arranged in one side of the frame. A sensor(36) detecting the tool(22) is installed in the outer end of the transference body. The linearly moving unit moves the transference body forward and backward by an actuator(130) installed in one side of the frame. The duct covers a part of the frame and linearly moving unit. The cover is installed in the front of the duct. The cover is opened and closed by interlocking with forward and backward motions of the linearly moving unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
