PURPOSE: A collision avoidance system for a vehicle is provided to effectively absorb the impact energy of a vehicle by inflating a buffer tube inside a bumper.;CONSTITUTION: A collision avoidance system for a vehicle comprises a buffer tube(100), a gas supply unit(200), an inertial force sensing unit(300), and a power supply unit(500). The buffer tube is embedded in a bumper(610). The gas supply unit supplies gas to the buffer tube depending on an operation signal. The inertial force sensing unit is fixed to a vehicle body. When a vehicle is suddenly stopped, a moving body(320) of the inertial force sensing unit is moved forward.
