PURPOSE: A system and a method for preventing drunk driving are provided to fundamentally prevent drunk driving using a facial recognition technology.;CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing drunk driving comprises: a step of detecting face function vectors by photographing the face of a driver through a face recognition device(110); a step of recognizing the face of the user by comparing the detected face function vectors with a face function vectors saved in a database; a step of measuring drinking value by being input of the breath of the driver through a breathalyzer(120) in case both face function vectors corresponded each other; a step of judging the drinking of the driver; a step of controlling the on/off system of a vehicle through a driving control device(130) according to the drinking of the driver.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
