PURPOSE: An adapter for a violin chin-rest which can fix a chin-rest without damage to a musical instrument is provided to extend a service life by preventing the deformation of a body and the change of tone quality. CONSTITUTION: An adapter for a violin chin-rest which can fix a chin-rest without damage to a musical instrument comprises a chin-rest(140), an adaptor body and a buffer member. The chin-rest is installed in a violin in order to support a chin part of a player. A reentrant groove is formed on the bottom mid-portion of the chin-rest. The adaptor body is fixed and installed between the chin-rest and the violin. The adaptor body has first and second sides. The buffer member is installed in the second side of the adaptor body.
