PURPOSE: An automatic parking system of vehicles and a method thereof are provided to stop the vehicle and deal with incidents based on collected information through all kinds of sensors.;CONSTITUTION: An automatic parking system of vehicles comprises an input unit(10), detectors(20,50), a controller(30), and a driving part(40). The input unit is input automatic parking request from a user. The obstacle detector senses obstacles on parking path. The controller controls the driving part in order to track the parking path. When the obstacle detector senses an obstacle while the vehicle is transferred by tracking the parking path, the controller stops the vehicle.
