PURPOSE: An apparatus for calculating the steering angle of a vehicle based on a wheel speed sensor and a method for automatically parking the vehicle are provided to calculate the steering angle based on the driving distances of left and right rear wheels.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for calculating the steering angle of a vehicle includes a first wheel speed sensor(11), a second wheel speed sensor(12), a distance calculating part(13), and a steering angle calculating part(14). The first wheel speed sensor measures the left rear wheel speed of the vehicle. The second wheel speed sensor measures the right rear wheel speed of the vehicle. The distance calculating part calculates the driving distances of the left and right rear wheels. The steering angle calculating part calculates the steering angle of the vehicle based on the driving distances of the rear wheels.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
