STREPTOMYCES JAVENSIS MJM5508 PRODUCING ANTIFUNGAL SUBSTANCE

PURPOSE: A novel strain Streptomyces javensis MJM5508 is provided to replace agrochemical with side effect of soil, water, and crop pollution and to culture plants and crops. CONSTITUTION: A Streptomyces javensis MJM5508 produces antifungal materials, azalomycin F4. A composition for preventing plant pathogenic fungi contains the strain or culture liquid thereof as an active ingredient. The fungi include Fusarium spp., penicillium spp., and Rhizoctonia solani. A pharmaceutical composition for treating infection diseases caused by pathogenic yeast and fungi contains the strain or culture thereof as an active ingredient.
