FORWARD OSMOTIC DESALINATION DEVICE USING AN OSMOTIC MEMBRANE SUBMERGED IN AN OSMOSIS DRIVING SOLUTION AND A NANO-FILTER AND A METHOD THEREOF CAPABLE OF MINIMIZING THE YIELD REDUCTION OF FRESH WATER BY USING A HUMIC ACID AQUEOUS SOLUTION AS THE OSMOSIS DRIVING SOLUTION
PURPOSE: A forward osmotic desalination device using an osmotic membrane submerged in an osmosis driving solution and a nano-filter and a method thereof are provided to reduce energy consumption required for driving a high pressure pump by omitting the high pressure pump.;CONSTITUTION: A forward osmotic desalination device(100) includes an osmotic membrane module(110), a restoring bath(120), a solution discharging pipe(130), a nano-filter(140), a pressurizing pump(150), a salty water introducing pipe(170), and a concentrated solution discharging pipe(180). The solution discharging pipe and an inlet for the pipe are in connection with the nano-filter. The nano-filter collects fresh water from a diluted osmosis driving solution and discharges the fresh water through a freshwater outlet. A concentrated osmosis driving solution is discharged through the concentrated water discharging pipe. The pressurizing pump is installed at the front part of the inlet of the nano-filter. The pressurizing pump pressurizes the diluted osmosis driving solution to be provided to the nano-filter. A humic acid aqueous solution is used as the osmosis driving solution.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
