PURPOSE: An edge dam for a twin-roll strip casting machine is provided to prevent the penetration of molten steel through a gap between a base refractory and a sealing plate by firmly sealing the boundary between the base refractory and the sealing plate.;CONSTITUTION: An edge dam for a twin-roll strip casting machine comprises a base refractory(101) which is located on the side of a casting roll, a sealing plate(102) which is inserted into the base refractory along a part of the side edge of the casting roll and pressed against the side of the casing roll to seal molten steel, an adhesive member(103) which attaches the sealing plate to the base refractory, and a patching member(104) which is inserted and attached to the boundary between the base refractory and the sealing plate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
