The aim is to suppress the production of hydrogen sulfide, more specifically, to provide a hydrogen sulfide-producing enzyme inhibitor. The present inventors achieved the present invention by discovering, as a result of dedicated research, that catechin is provided with inhibitory activity towards hydrogen sulfide-producing enzymes. Specifically disclosed is a hydrogen sulfide-producing enzyme inhibitor that uses catechin as an active component.
