PURPOSE: A pen used for a scientific toy is provided to not only serve as a conventional pen taking notes but also a toy for various playthings by using principles of electricity. CONSTITUTION: A pen used for a scientific toy comprises a case(100), a writing core(200) for taking notes, a power supply unit(300), and an output device(400). The case is combined with a first contact terminal at one outer side. The writing core for taking notes unites with a second contact terminal at one end side. The writing core for taking notes is installed to be projected to outside the case and forms a writing pattern on a writing side. The power supply unit electrically connects the first contact terminal and the second contact terminal. The output device receives power from the power supply unit and outputs an output signal since the first contact terminal and the second contact terminal are electrically connected each other.
