USE OF A NOVEL TRANSMEMBRANE PROTEIN OF LRIG-1 IN A REGULATORY T CELL

PURPOSE: An immunosuppressant containing siRNA which suppresses surface protein Lrig-1 expression is provided to regulate Treg. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening an immunosuppressant or an immune activator comprises: a step of contacting an analyte with regulatory T cells containing Lrig(Leucine-rich repeats and immunoglobulin-like domains protein); a step of measuring the quantity or activation of proteins; and a step of determining whether the sample is the immunosuppressant or immune activator. The Lrig protein is Lrig1, Lrig2, or Lrig3. The Lrig protein is denoted by sequence number 11. A composition for treating immune-associated diseases contains the Lrig1 protein.
