PURPOSE: A smart phone and a security method thereof having a security function are provided to increase detection efficiency of malicious application by inspecting a digital signature for the distribution of an application. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(250) stores malicious application detection data including decision basis data and electronic signature information for the detection of a malicious application. A behavior analyzing unit(110) analyzes a function performed by the application based on the decision basis data. A signature detecting unit(140) compares an electronic signature of a developer who develops the application.
