COMPOSITION COMPRISING EXTRACTS OF MULBERRY FRUITS FOR INHIBITING ACTIVITY OF ACETYLCHOLINESTERASE

PURPOSE: An acetylcholine esterase suppressing composition containing mulberry fruit extracts is provided to increase acetylcholine by interrupting activities of acetylcholine esterase which hydrolyzes acetylcholine. CONSTITUTION: An acetylcholine esterase suppressing composition containing mulberry fruit extracts includes acetylcholine esterase suppressing composition as an active ingredient. The mulberry fruit extract is obtained by using water, a mixed solvent including water and organic solvent, or organic solvent. The organic solvent is methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, butanol, acetone, ether, benzene, chloroform, ethyl acetate, methylene chloride, hexane or cyclohexane. A composition for preventing or treating dementia contains the mulberry extracts as the active ingredient. The composition is made into syringe, liquid, pellet, tablet, capsule, and suspension formations. The formulation is in powder, granule, tablet, emulsion, syrup, aerosol, soft or hard gelatin capsule, sterilized injection solution, and sterilized powder.
