PURPOSE: A lane detecting method is provided to shorten times required for detecting lanes and to reduce the amount of the lanes to be detected by reducing the detecting regions of the lanes.;CONSTITUTION: A lane detecting method includes the following: a lane recognizing system detects the lane information of arbitrary lanes based on a screen which is taken by a camera and detects slope information based on the lane information(S100); a slope is displayed on the screen, and a searching line is displayed to be spaced apart from the slope(S110); and the system successively detects regions based on the searching line in order to detect a lane(S130).
