PURPOSE: A method for increasing the productivity of methane in an excrement-based methane-fermenting process is provided to save costs required for operational processes and to efficiently generate methane. CONSTITUTION: A method for increasing the productivity of methane in an excrement-based methane-fermenting process includes a process in which excrement is methane-fermented by adding excrement sludge and sodium acetate into a methane-fermenting bath. The excrement sludge is pig excrement sludge. The concentration of the sodium acetate is in a range between 5 and 50 mM.
