VOC REDUCING APPARATUS AND A SHIP WITH THE SAME CAPABLE OF REDUCING VOC WITH A DOWN COMER WHEN LOADING THE VOC TO A STORAGE TANK

PURPOSE: A VOC(Volatile Organic Compounds) reducing apparatus and a ship with the same are provided to effectively reduce VOC while crude oil moves through a down comer, and to prevent the crude oil from being dropped under saturation vapor pressure when the crude oil moves to a storage tank along an inner bottom surface of the down comer.;CONSTITUTION: A VOC reducing apparatus for a ship comprises a temporary storage tank(10) and a down comer(30). The temporary storage tank is interposed between a loading line(5) and a storage tank(6). Crude oil is temporarily stored in the temporary storage tank before flowing into the storage tank. The down comer provides a passage through which the crude oil stored in the temporary storage tank. A crude oil inlet is located at a part which is upwardly spaced from the bottom of the temporary storage tank. The crude oil stored in the temporary storage tank flows into the crude oil inlet which is a funnel shape.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
