THE APPARATUS AND METHOD TO DECOMPOSE CARBON DIOXIDE USING MICROWAVE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for decomposing carbon dioxide using microwaves are provided to decompose carbon dioxide without the generation of harmful gas and polluting gas. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for decomposing carbon dioxide using microwaves includes a thermal decomposing pipe, an outer container(60), a heating element(90), a heat insulating material(100), a dust collecting part(120), and a first temperature sensor. The thermal decomposing pipe includes inlet pipes(10, 20) and an outlet pipe(30). The carbon dioxide is introduced into the inlet pipes, and the outlet pipe emits thermally decomposed carbon and remaining gas. The outer container is equipped with the thermal decomposing pipe at the inner part and a microwave oscillating unit(80) at the outer part. The microwave oscillating unit induces microwaves to the thermal decomposing pipe. The heating element heats the thermal decomposing pipe. The heat insulating material insulates the heating element. The dust collecting part collects the carbon.
