PURPOSE: A nano-particle for calcium ion detection and calcium ion detecting method using the same are provided to selectively detect calcium ion even when the amount of the calcium ion is too small.;CONSTITUTION: A nano-particle for calcium ion detection comprises gold nano-particles and nucleotide combined to the surfaces of the gold nano-particles. The gold nano-particle has the average diameter of 5-50 nano meters. The base part of nucleotide is covalent-bonded on the surface of the gold nano-particles. The nucleotide is ATP, CTP, and GTP or TTP. A manufacturing method of the nano-particle for calcium ion detection comprises the following step: mixing a gold nano-particle solution and a nucleotide solution. The gold nano-particle solution is manufactured by mixing gold salt with a reducing agent. The gold salt is potassium chloroaurate (KAuCl4), sodium chloroaurate hydrate, tetrachloride auric acid hydrate (HAuCl43H2O), auric chloride (III) (AuCl3) or gold bromide (III) (AuBr3).
