PURPOSE: An auxiliary foothold apparatus for a school bus is provided to prevent the sink of an auxiliary step apparatus due to passengers.;CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary foothold apparatus for a school bus comprises a case(10), an auxiliary foothold(30), a reversible driving motor, a power transmission member, a slide block, and a cylinder shaft. The case forms exterior surface and accommodates components. The auxiliary foothold is installed to be inserted in the case. The reversible driving motor generates the power for the insertion of the auxiliary foothold. The power transmission member comprises a driving wheel, a driven wheel, a chain. The chain is couple with the driving wheel and the driven wheel and fixed to the auxiliary foothold. The slide block is fixed to the both sides of the auxiliary foothold. The cylinder shaft is fixed in the case to guide the moving of the auxiliary foothold.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
