PURPOSE: A drought stress tolerance related gene and a composition containing the same for enhancing the drought stress tolerance of a plant are provided to obtain a novel functional plant with drought tolerance.;CONSTITUTION: A composition for promoting plant germination contains a nucleic acid molecule which suppresses a nucleotide sequence encoding an amino acid of sequence number 2. The nucleotide sequence contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. The nucleic acid molecule includes T-DNA, siRNA, shRNA, miRNA, ribozyme, or antisense oligonucleotide.
