PURPOSE: An environment-friendly flame-retardant epoxy resin composition is provided to have excellent flame retardancy without using a brome-based or phosphate-based flame retardant, and to have excellent other properties such as maintenance, etc.;CONSTITUTION: A resin is represented by chemical formula 2. In chemical formula 2, each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 is independently H or C_mH_(2m+1) wherein m is 1-20, n is a natural number from 1-100. A flame retardant resin composition comprises a resin represented by chemical formula 2, a hardener, and a phosphorous compound. The hardener is a phenol-based hardener. The phosphorous compound is triphenylphosphine.
