A manufacturing method for epoxy Schiff base resin is described, characterized by the fact that at least one or more types of dicarboxylic acid having an azomethyne compound represented by the general expression: HOOC-R sub 1 -N=HC-R sub 2 -COOH, HOOC-R sub 1 -N=HC-R sub 3 -CH=N-R sub 1 -COOH, HOOC-R sub 2 -CH=N-R sub 4 -N=HC-R sub 2 -COOH (R sub 1 , R sub 2 , R sub 3 and R sub 4 are bivalent (radicals) of the aromatic group or aliphatic group) and epoxy compound having at least two epoxy radicals in one molecule interact through heating in a solvent in which dicarboxylic acid of the Schiff base is dissolved.
